  • Couch to 5k RUNS from April 28, 2026 thru May 19, 2026

    Ever thought about completing a 5K but never been a runner? Want to do something good for yourself and the community? Here’s your chance to ease into a more active lifestyle and participate in a local 5K road race. Either walking or running, the program introduces basic fundamentals to a successful process. The training is fun and informative. The flexible, weekly workouts- all performed on your own- can be adjusted to your schedule. The first session includes receiving your training plan and learning how to properly warm-up and cool-down, after this each session will include educational material about walking and running, question and answer, and group connection. All levels of experience are welcome. The program instructor is a certified personal trainer who is motivated to help you succeed in this fitness goal. If you attend three out of four live zoom sessions and submit a picture of you walking/running a 5k race between May 20, 2026 - July 4, 2026 you will be entered to win a running gift basket!
